We are pleased to announce that the updated version of QlikView 11.20 SR4 Update 1, containing a fix to the issue that caused us to remove the initial version from the download site, has now been released. It is available from the download site (http://www.qlik.com/download)

The changes to Search and Select functionality that caused previous issues with Set Analysis and Bookmarks have been reverted to the previous way of operating (SR3 and prior). Anyone who has installed the original SR4 (build 12123) should now install this update. If you have already installed the original SR4, you can simply install this Update on top of the original version.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue. We are establishing stricter quality assurance and verification measures to ensure that we can continue to deliver high quality releases in the future.

QlikTech has withdrawn Service Release 4 of QlikView 11.20 from the download site due to issues discovered with the release. These issues do not impact previous releases of QlikView 11.20.

Given the nature of the problems discovered with SR4, QlikTech has decided to rerun a complete internal verification program prior to reissuing Service Release 4 to ensure the highest possible quality standards are met. This process is underway and we will give an update on the timeline, as well as details of the identified issues, as soon as we can. Next update of the current situation will be issued within 48 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change and we encourage customers who downloaded Service Release 4 to hold off testing or deploying this release until the update becomes available.

Again, these issues do not impact previous releases of QlikView 11.20, currently available on the download site.

Any further updates related to Service Release 4 will be posted on this site.

Hi everyone,

We are currently in the process of testing version 11.2 with Windows 8, 2012 Server and also Internet Explorer 10 with a view to introducing support (which may be limited) for the above in a future 11.2 Service Release.    Retrospective support in version 10 and already released v11 Service Releases will not be added.

We would advise users of Windows 7 not to upgrade their Internet Explorer browser to IE10 at this time.   Be aware that Windows Update may automatically install IE10.   Some known issues with IE10 include (use as a guide only, not an exhaustive list):

  • Color gradients in captions/backgrounds not working
  • Unable to move columns in table boxes
  • Scrolling issues in table boxes
  • QMC task creation dialogs not working correctly
  • WebParts do not work correctly

QlikView Direct Discovery Beta Registration is Open

We will be launching beta for our upcoming QlikView Direct Discovery for direct access to big data sources within QlikView apps in November 2012. The beta will be open to all customers and partners.

Customers and partners can start enrolling in the beta program. To take part in it just send mail to beta@qlik.com.

As part of QlikView’s Big Data Discovery strategy, Direct Discovery can link data already loaded in-memory with big data sources for rapid visual analysis. With this hybrid model for comprehensive analysis, there is no need to choose between direct access to big data or pre-loading data in-memory. QlikView Direct Discovery will be part of the QlikView Version 11 upgrade available in December 2012 at no additional cost.

We hope to see you on the beta list!
