Microsoft SQL Azure

Has anybody connected qlikview with Microsoft SQL Azure with QVSource? I'm just thinking of strategies to use qlikview in tandem with a cloud solution.

I haven't used MS SQL Azure yet but it does appear there is an OData service for it which can be enabled and QVSource does have an OData connector.

If you would like to contact me directly we can work with you to make sure it's working with SQL Azure as expected.

Hi Alex,

have you read this: Microsoft JDBC Driver 3.0 for SQL Server and SQL Azure

I would expect that this would work directly with our QlikView JDBC Connector:

http://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-2438

It's just a matter of configuration. I can give you some support on this. Would be very interesting for us if this works.

Actually, I have read that before, but I'm not much of dev guy, so it's a little over my head. But I will take another look at it. Thanks for the resource.

Yea the JDBC driver sounds like a better idea in this case.

Btw. the regular way is to use an ODBC connect.

If you have no ODBC driver (or to say you have no MS SQL license) it works with our QlikView JDBC Connector: http://jdbcconnector.com

and the MS SQL JDBC 4 driver.

Just see an exapmle here: http://twitpic.com/9099lj
