can scatter chart applied on a static image?

Hi All:

i want to apply a scatter chart on an image, it that possible? The detailed requirement is as following:

" i want to prepare a demo for real estate industry, and need to apply a scatter chart on aerial view of each project, the bubble will indicates if there is Residential or Hotel or Office, and when click the bubble , there will be a form displayed describe the detailed info of this building"

Can this requirement be achieved in QV? Really appreciate if anyone can give me some comments. Thanks all

Thanks

Stefanie

Hi Stefanie,

In order to show the project name in the popup :

- Disable "Pop-up labels" in the "Presentation" propertie tab of the chart;

- In the "Expressions" tab, choose the advanced mode and create a new expression defined with Country ([Type(Image)] in your application);

- Check the "Text as Pop-up" display options for this expression;

- Uncheck "Expressions as Legend" for each expression.

But, I don't know if it is possible to have the label of your projects (my countries) on the right. I have not managed to do this.

Hi Vincent,

I tried to use the kind of map you created in my report because i am totally new to maps in qlikview thing..

But I dont catch it why you have latitudes / longitudes in some other format. can you help with explaining that?

For my map I loaded the list of countries with longitudes and latitudes.. so E.g. Russia is 60, 100. However, when i try to calculate sums per country - the bubbles land all in the lower left corner - as in your map E.g. Russia is 856, 633.

I need the countries all over the world on my map so can you suggest if i should load some different-format coordinates for them or recalculate somehow to get the correct picture?

Many thanks in advance for help

Hi,

The solution I've proposed is based on a static image and not on a dynamic map (like using gmaps or geoqlik).

So, coordinates are not latitudes and longitudes but the position of the point in the image. You have to use for example mspaint in order to find the coordinate in the image.

Vincent

Hello ,
when you open the file in mspaint, how can you look up at the coordinates of the different files?

Thanks

Hi Nicolas,

When you move over the picture with your mouse the coordinates are in the lower bar.
