Distribution Service and Directory Service Connector Disconnected Post-Install

All,

I'm having issues with two services, the DSC and the DS.

I completed a fresh install of QVS 9 SR5 x64 on a Windows 2008 R2 64-bit server and these two services are disconnected.

The account running the services is a member of Administrators as well as a Qlikview Administrators. The account is on the same domain as the computer.

I've tried to run the services on the local system account, the local administrator and a newly created local administrator with no luck. I've also tried V9 SR3 and V9SR5 32-bit.

I can call the Distribution Service in a batch method and execute tasks, so the service is functioning on this basis. The services not functioning properly is also resposible for the Command Center being inaccessible via the QEMC.

The logs are inconclusive.

How else can I troubleshoot this issue?

I've been inundated with help from all quarters of the community on this one...

The solution:

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

1. Stop all services except the Qlikview server service in Windows

2. Remove all service_key.txt from all services folders except the QVS.

3. Restart the services from windows services.

Sorry, but i am having this same issue on my win 2008 r2 box, and thought i had it fixed by running the services as the local admin. now it seems to be happening again. what did you mean by "Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE", and where are the service_key.txt files? Thanks.

well, i found the service_key.txt files, and i see that "Normal 0 false...." can be ignored. i deleted the txt file and restarted the service, but i still show the services as being disconnected. thanks.

Neil,

please disregard the line 'Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE'

this is a symptom of a direct copy and paste into the message composition text box on these forums.
