Moving root folder and add mounted folder

Hi,

I have a production environment with one root folder and no mounted folder, no publisher.

The documents are reloaded both with the server and with batches (to manage some documents with macro onPostReload).

As suggested by support and community I want to add a mounted folder to separe the pgo files(in the root) from the document(in the new mounted folder).

I suppose it is faster if I move the pgo files in a new root folder.

To do so:

  1. stop qlik services
  2. create the new root folder
  3. move the pgo files
  4. start services
  5. set in the management console the new root folder and add the mounted folder pointing to the old root

It is correct? What about the document licence(100 in our environment) and the scheduled reloads on the server, they have to be modified/re-do?

Or it it better to move the documents (following this post change path for automatic reload )? This way I have to modify the schedules on the server and the path in the batches, I think, but no changes for the document licence.

Thanks very much

Hi,

All you need to do is create the folders and make the change in the QMC. The PGO files will be created in the new folder. Then add you mounted folders and move the qvw, .share and .meta to them.
