Wt values we need to fill in server details in Qlikview Mail

Hi i am trying to send mail alerts from qlikview (from desktop side not from server side)

i found that option userpreferences-->Mail but i dont know what values we need to give in server details

i tried with my mail smtp server it's throwing error

can anyone please help me out this........

In Address you should put the server address. This can be a fully qualified domain name (i.e. mymailhost.mydomain ) or an ip-address or a name within the same domain as the Qlikview server. If your qlikview server is part of the mydomain domain you could use mymailhost if that's the name of your smtp mailserver.

i gave my server address even though it is throwing the same error

Usually it's not necessary to enter a UserID and Password. Ask the system administrator of your mail server for help if you don't know if a UserID is necessary or not.
