I've tried to lookup for an answer to this question prior to post it, but apparently I'm missing something! Anyway, We have QlikView 11 and we simply want to add a new user to view the dashboards. I've tried to add a user though the QlikView Management Console ==> System ==> QlikView Server ==> Assigned CAL but it the user still unable to see any dashboards at the AccessPoint page. Could you please advise on that? I've heard that we need to give a Read permission on the Documents folder (Windows Permission) but even that didn't work nor full permission!
Thanks!
Louie
For NTFS [AD] permissions double check it at the qvw file level, as file level permission will override any folder level permissions.

Are you using Publisher ?
You need do add a license and autorize/permission to your user see the app file.
If you use DMS, access Documents>User Documents: Authorization
If you use NTFS, access your file system and change permissions to your user read and execute this qvw.
Authorizathion is deliver access to show the qvw in the access point;
License deliver the access license method.
Honestly I'm not sure! When I go to Management Console ==> System ==> Licenses ==> QlikView Publisher I find everything is blank! So I believe we don't have it?
First you must have an available named user cal or document CAL to allow the additional user to connect. Have you looked at you tube there are several training videos that may help you.
Search for QlikView Assigning User Cals
I have not posted the link as adding an external link will be delayed until it is moderated.
Hope this helps.
Hi Louie,
Assigning a call has no effect if you can't see a dashboard.
So the first question would be, can the user (or any user) see dashboards in the AccessPoint ?
If not there could be a few way's to correct the issue.

Thank you all, problem is solved now! It was related to the folder permission cause we are on NTFS [AD} setup! Just started from the document level and gave the permission on that level and we could see the document through the AccessPoint!
Thanks Again!
