not, you can read only data from binary file

you use the binary load for loading the data from another Qlik doc

it must be the first statement

after that you can read other data (database, qvd, ....)

... and if you read in other data after the binary load statement and save the QVW... voila ! you have appended/added data and can reuse the combined set as a source for another app through binary load
