Hi Everyone,
I have created a file DSN to connect to Microsoft Access 2013 . But i cannot see this DSN , when i try to connect it from Qlikview . Does qlikview detect file DSN's ? Should we always go for user and system DSN's .
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
Regards,
Raghu
1)
for db connection
use ODBC and system DSN or OLEDB
With Access (2010 and previous) I use odbc
2)
then in script editor choose odbc / oledb, 32 or 64 depending on 1)
You are correct, QlikView can't use file DSNs. I think it's recommended to stick to System DSNs only, too.
Dear Massimo ,
I did try that , but as I said I couldn't find the file DSN in the script editor .
Additional Info: The reason I created a file DSN instead of user/ system DSN is I couldn't find the the system/user DSN for .accdb database in the server . So I raised the ticket with the Microsoft team who asked me to create File DSN's .
Regards,
Raghu.
