HI All ,

Can you please help me with , what is the best table structure for to build a report on Qlikview , How my Dimension and Measures should be arranged(in columns , rows ) , i find that it is good to have all dimensions in rows , so that we can do set analysis easily

Your question is rather general, in my opinion it all depends on the hierarchies in the data you are modelling (fi: cities). With limited different dimensions with no hierarchical relation you could do it like you describe, otherwise I would suggest to use different columns for different hierarchically associated data (fi: continent, land, city)

Hi Sai,

To begin with have a look at this document which might help:

it will depend on how many Fact tables you have.

Best is a single table, but most aim for a star structure.

Often the model becomes a snowflake, if it's more like a a blizzard, you may have issues and need to review it :-).

That said the number of rows and data variability is also a factor.

As the data volumes get bigger, you should aim towards a simpler model.
