Please help me on this.

Thanks in Advance

I would set up two new QlikView apps, each with a basic alert with the condition set to simply 1.  One can be set to run on success the other on failure.

You could let the QMC deal with failure notifications itself - as this is baked in.

Hi Nihhal,

Can you post a screenshot of the details that you input in the Mail tab. I am getting error when I am connecting to smtp.gmail.com.

Really appreciate it.

Why are you connecting to gmail for email distribution? Wouldn't it be easier (at least administration-wise) to connect to a local company mail server?

I never tried connecting to gmail, but one of these two reasons may block you from forwarding emails through the GMail smtp-server:

  1. GMail refuses to act as a forwarding host. This is a common antispam measure.
  2. GMail may allow you to forward email only if you authenticate using a valid gmail account. Did you provide one?

Still, those are guesses. It would surely help if you would tell us exactly which error message you receive from the smtp-host.

Best,

It also requires TLM and uses non standard ports, but as long as things are

set up correctly it should be possible to use GMail.

Thanks Peter for your reply. I had to make few changes to my settings and I was able to connect to our work google account.
