Which release should we upgrade to; SR8 or SR9?

Hey there,

We are on SR6 but having issues with sessions and freezing.  We plan to upgrade to stay current and have SR9 in a test environment but before we tale it to Production we wanted some thoughts on what release you prefer?

Some discussion people have rolled back to SR8 from SR9 where others have been fine.

What are you thoughts?

I would choose either SR7 or SR9 because of a serious problem with calendars in the SR8 AJAX client. YMMV.

Check the release Readme of SR9. It contains an overview of all bugs fixed in subsequent releases.

Hello Harry,

we switched from SR8 to SR9 because of various Inputfield Bugs fixed in SR9.

Sadly we encountered another possible Bug in SR9 then (already forwarded to Qlik's R&D Team (ID 69613))

which is closing an open session if a reload of the same document is performed in the Background.

This happens if you open a document with the "open in Server" Option with the Client.

So in this case I would recommend you to stay on your current release...

Thanks.  We did upgrade to SR9 in hopes it would help out with performance issues and multiple session issues we have been having.  However it didn't seem to help either. 

Reading the release notes and forums on them seems that each have their own issues.

We will stay with SR9 for now.
