Programming Knowledge will be an advantage.

Business User requires zero programming knowledge.

If you are Developer and are not confident with scripting, Practice makes perfect.

Keep in mind, the community is always willing to help

If you are using qlikview as an end user then no need of this.

But if you are involve in development or designing part of qlikview then you must have knowledge of sql

The book QlikView for Developers is a very good self tutorial book and I would highly recommend it.

I'd suggest you go through the book slowly and steadily, probably just one chapter at a time.  And if needs be, if you have found a chapter confusing then go through it again.

No, I think you should go for QlikView knowledge, as mastering expressions in the UI for example is neither through learnng how to program nor by becoming an expert in relational databases (SQL).

There are various routes you can take. The quick one may be the tutorial that comes with the QlikView documentation. The smart one is to buy QlikView for Developers (Packt Puiblishing).

If you feel like you are starting to get a grip on QV, you should pay a visit to QlikView 11 Developer Tutorial An extensive set of video tutorials that focus on building an application from start to finish.
