How to hide a expression in pivot table?

Hello everyone,

I am using two expressions in pivot table. I am using the first expression(name) to derive the second expression so I cant disable it.

I just want to hide it.

Also I cannot directly use the first expression as is in the second expression as I have used Range function in it.

Any idea how to hide the first expression(Not disabling it).

Regards,

Pratik

Hi

I don't think you can hide a pivot table expression directly. You could set the foreground colour of the first expression to white, set the label to  ' ' (space) and make it as narrow as possible to make it (almost) disappear.

On the Style tab, uncheck "Vertical Expression Cell Borders" to avoid the appearance of an empty cell.

Just with formatting tricks...

Here my first expression label is just a space  ( ' ' ) and you can reference it in the 2nd expression using [ ].

Disabled vertical borders on expressions and use transparent text color or show text as image and hide when not available.
