Hi all QlikView users, this week is going to be a busy week with announcements and news, chief of which is the Initial Release [IR] of QlikView 12. Today on our download site you can take a look at the first GA release of the latest QlikView version. QlikView 12 builds on the proven success of 11.20 and includes the following:
A common QIX engine, shared with Qlik Sense
Security improvements - QlikView 12 has been "hardened" in order to meet the exacting security requirements of government defense departments
Improved clustering - shared file caching
Mobile touch improvements
Online help file
64bit (except for the plugin, QlikView 12 is 64bit only)
Please see the attached Release Notes for QlikView 12 and read them carefully. As with any IR of a new major version, we recommend thorough testing and validation of your documents and environment before any upgrade decision is taken.
