NPrinting - Hide and Show - Pages in Word Report According to Customer

Hi All,

Our Client's requirement in Nprinting mail. We have created Word report and send it as Pdf.

In the Word report, we are creating two pages respective to Product Group A and B.

Some Customers buy both Products, so two pages should be sent in mail.

Some Customers buy only Product A or Product B, so any of the page in Word report should be hidden accordingly and mail should be sent.

Please help me..

Best Regards,

Kalyan

Hi Kalyana,

I think you need a more dynamic solution than just hiding pages. For instance, what happens if you introduce products C and D? It would be better to only create the pages according to the customer's filter.

Lets say you have tables:

And you have the following objects in your QlikView document:

In the Recipients chart I have created the ID, E-mail, Filter and Group in expressions - only the Customer is a dimension. This chart is used as the source for the Recipient Import entity in NPrinting.

Once the import recipient task is run, the project is populated with recipients and their filters. When the report task is run you will find separate reports for each recipient with the Recipient Filter duly applied. Each report contains a separate page for each Group. For example customer Ropa total will have only one page as they have bought only Group C products while The Corner Store will have a two page report as they bought products from Groups A & B.

As you want PDF output I have created a PixelPerfect report but you can use any report type you like.

Extract the attached project to folder C:\Temp\Community\055 to preserve the paths used or change them in the NSQ.

Hi Kalyan,

If you RMB on a PivotTable in your QlikView document and choose Send to Excel you will find that you get a straight table. NPrinting uses the QlikView Desktop API to essentially do the same thing so you get the same result - a straight table. To get a true PivotTable in Excel, you will need to build it in the NPrinting Excel report template:

How to Create a Pivot Table from Excel Table Columns

How to Create an Excel PivotTable Report

In future please create new discussions for unrelated queries as that will help others find relevant information when searching these forums.
