Sharing Data Connections

I thought that data connections were something that was shared across apps in Qlik Sense.

However, I am seeing in our system that a data connection created by another user is not visible to me when updating or creating an app.

I tried to load the app with the other users script and it bombed because it could not find the data connection.

What is the best practice for this or am I just doing something wrong.

By the way these are OLE DB connections.  I would understand that  a folder connection might not work depending on where the folder is located.  But I would think that OLE DB connections would be available.

Do you have rights to use the data connection? See the online help for granting users access to data connections:

After I created a security rule for anyone in a specific group it worked.  Thanks.
