Maps Scale

Hi there I want to know if we can add a scale to our maps so that we can answer questions like below.

Can we measure the distance between store locations, so that we can answer questions such as, which stores are within a 10km radius of a specific store?

I guess it is possible if you have the coordinates for each store and then calculate the distance between them. Maybe the following posts could help you?
