NPrinting 17 - Server failing to install

We are trying to install Nprinting server but are hitting problems after the repository install. The install keeps on rolling back when trying to extract the MSI. Is anyone else having issues ?

Have tried multiple downloads of the MSI , multiple server reboots but to no avail.

Attached is the log file.

Hi all,

I had a similar issue for a client today, However I was forwarded on this document, which helped solved the install process for my client.

Thanks

Gavin

Hi all,

I've tried everything on the document but I still have the error of the MSI package.

Anyone knows when the SR1 of Nprinting 17 is going to be available.

Thanks

Francisco

This worked for me. In my case I was using special characters in the password.

I have the same problems as you guys. The installation process keep rolling back every time. I don't have any fancy characters in the password and the user is an administrator.

I noticed that some how I have been able to install the service but of course it's impossible to remove (or start) it because the folders are gone due to the roll back.

I will create a support ticken and see if Qlik has a solution for this.

Regards,

Stellan

When trying to install the new release SR1 the install keeps on rolling back when trying to extract the MSI. I also tried a fresh install, uninstalling previous version and removed all related folders and programs ,erl and rabbit. But nothing seems to work

Finally it worked, by using the uninstall in the RabbitMQ folder, removing all Nprinting, Rabbit and Erl folders, deleting QlikViewNPrintingRepoService manually through cmd.

Yet another problem. Have I made a mistake by investing so much time and money in Qlikview. They seem incapable of making anything work.
