Sales Forecast For future Dates

Hi Experts,

I have to show the sales forecast for all the months of year of 2016....But I am having only Jan to Mar sales data for 2015 and 2016 year and need to show sales forecast for Apr 2016 to Mar 2017...And my calendar is only upto today....

example-

Month           Sales

jan2015         100

feb2015          500

mar2015         200

jan2016         300

feb2016          500

mar2016         300

Calendar is showing only - Jan 2015, Feb 2015, Mar 2015, Jan 2016, Feb 2016, Mar 2016

I need to show forecast for Apr 2016 to Mar 2017....

Hi Iarib,

what you can do is to create a master calendar and link it to your data, this way you will be able to work (select, sum, etc) with dates that doesn't exists have in your model.

what you can do is to create a master calendar and link it to your data, this way you will be able to work (select, sum, etc) with dates that doesn't exists have in your model.

First create dates using Master Calendar from Apr 2016 to Mar 2017, then in the chart use under Axis check Forecast and in the box below give the number till you want to forecast. You can find more about this here
