how to schedule qv jobs on condition using Win Scheduler...?

Hi Team ,

we want to schedule the Qlikview jobs using windows Scheduler , where Qlikview Job is having dependence with the ETL jobs ,

we are using a separate Scheduler for ETL jobs , but we are not aware of how to synchronize the Qlikview job after the Execution of ETL job.

Please suggest any best method to achieve it...

Is it really necessary to use Win Sheduler?

Why don't you just use de QMC, by making a schedule where you first execute your ETL process and the next process start on with the condition "On Event from Another Task" set on "Success" and the ETL's qvw.

That way you'll have much more control over your processes.

You will want to use the EDX feature to trigger the QV Job from the external scheduler. See this doc:

Using EDX in QlikView 11

There is a link in that post to download a command line client for EDX.

1) Define the trigger for the QV Task as "On an external event".

2) Run the QMSEDX commandline program from the scheduler to start the task.

Thanks for the response , we don't have Qlikview publisher.

is it possible to run the dependency jobs with the Batch file creation or any other method to do this.

if it is possible with Batch scheduler please let us know , we have run the Qlikview Job after The execution of ETL job.
