Issue in excel export// data not coming in number format

Hello All,

I have a straight chart , in which i am showing data as both (%, and as normal number) and it is working fine is QlikView.

But when i export the table into excel the data comes in text format in excel.

Please find the attached dummy application. I am using "pick (match" in my scenario to meet my requirements.

Any suggestions and help will be really appreciated.

Regards

KC

Jyothish,

sorry, I've misunderstood your request initially.

AFAIK, QV is still limited in keeping the default expression format.

Have a look at attached document to see if the export as text option is maybe of any help.

You might also find a solution using a macro to export your table to excel, maybe starting from

Export to Excel via macro-number format

But I think this macro would need to evaluate the requested format from the expression in the context of your dimensions.

did you try to define the Format in tab number of straight table?

if the column is defined as dimension you may goto "document properties" and tab number and define the

field as number field

Hi Rudolf,

I have tried the option, but no luck . The challenge over here is i have value in both "%" and Number format and i want to export in to excel in same format.

did you try to format the columns explicit?

num(field,'##.##')

or

num(field,'#.##0,0%')
