Qlik Sense 3.0 Desktop not working

Hi there,

I was excited to see Sense 3.0.

I wanted to give it a try right away, so I downloaded and installed it.

I Updated my prior version, but it is not starting. I also tried to completly uninstall and reinstalled it, but no luck either.

I am running Windows 10.

Anybody experiencing the same Problem? Event log shows me an Error 300..

Sad it does not work,

or simply disable UAC (disable User Account Control) in windows

Control Panel / Users Accoutns / User account control (set to low or never advise)

I had various issues, however once I:

- Uninstalled previous versions

- Deleted qlik folder under documents (After backing up)

- Deleted qlik folder from program files

- Rebooted

- Installed as administrator

- Repaired the install

It seems to work!

I get a 404 error when trying to load hub.

I've followed your steps but QS 3.0 still doesn't work.

Hi,

I got problem when I enter the QS Desktop after I upgrade from 2.2.4 to 3.0.0

I stuck at the welcome page as below:

And I can visit the website: localhost:4848/hub, nothing appears.

So what shall I do?

My QS3.0 would not work either, I tried multiple things including those mentioned above. I get the same 300 error in the logs.
I've finally gone back to 2.x.

Has this thread been seen my the Qlik Dev/Support teams?

It might sound dumb but try rebooting, opening the hub and hitting F5... you never know!

Hello All,

I see there are a few potential solutions and a reply was marked as correct, but one more thing I would like to check. Do you / did you - have Qlik Sense Server and Qlik Sense Desktop installed on the same machine. I experienced the same issue on my machines where I do demos as I had both installed. I stopped the services (particularly the Printing Service(print export) and the Dispatcher Service (DataMarket) from my  server side and then Desktop started.

Having both Desktop and Server is technically not a supported configuration and I believe is in the release notes.
