How to update results using a UI slider?

Hi,

I want to show results generated by making some selections, using UI sliders or filters. The results need to be generated on a new sheet with the selections made using the console. Is this possible using Qlik Sense? The data should be modified in the background for generating results. How difficult is this task using Qlik Sense?

Also, is it better to use Qlik Sense 3.0 for this task or will the older version suffice?
