QMC and Hub Default shortcuts don't work - QlikSense

hi all,

Just installed QlikSense Server and noticed the shortucts of the QMC and Hubs that get installed on the server don't work..

https :// ip-111-11-11.ec2.internal/qmc/

https :// ip-111-11-11.ec2.internal/hub/

Please note 111-11-11 is just a fake IP address..

Any thoughts..

Hi Alec,

Maybe the default listener ports are changed. If it is true then you should add port number to link:

https :// ip-111-11-11.ec2.internal:1234/qmc/

HI Alec,

Check whether the services are running or not?

I guess it is a port related issue as I am able to access using domain\qmc and domain\hub.

How can I change the shortcuts to point to the domain\qmc and domain\hub?

Thanks,

Alec

go to the shortcut properties and you should be able to change the shortcut paths to add the port.

Thanks Troy, it seems to be grayed out... Also, I want to change it in a way when we add new users and the shortcut shows on their desktop, they will have the new URLs with the ports.

Hi,

Send them the .ink file, or create a batch, that do the work.

Hi Alec,

Ink is the extension of the shortcut icons.

If you navigate to c:\users\...\desktop, you will find many files with .ink extension.

Be sure, all your colleges work with the same browser, and same path etc...

You can create a batch file to check whether the browser is installed or not, and navigate to QlikSense site.
