Open url in different window in AJAX?

Hi,

I have dashboards in IE plugin and AJAX.

While opening other URL from dashboards in IE plugin, they open in different window  but in AJAX they open in same window (Although i uncheck Open in same window box)

Is it some default feature in AJAX?
