Hi Everyone,
Maybe this is a n00b question, but I've RTFM, and RTFForum, and RTFWeb, and I'm unclear what you can actually do with the Configurable LDAP Directory Service Provider once it's configured. The manuals appear to sell it as a handy feature, then show how to configure it, but then what?
By this, I mean: What specifically can you use Configurable LDAP for? How do you call it? Can it be integrated with Section Access?
Please, no flames. If this has all been discussed or presented before, a link would be fine.
Thanks,
DJ
Hi
For this type of Integration you need Qlikview Enterprise Edition with publisher.
For V10. you can system tab --> setup tab --> DSC --> Configurable LDAP add new entry
then configute Ldap
LDAP://<ipaddress> followed by username and password.
while distibuting you can get the list of users of you LDAP directory
Hope that helps

Hi Ashfaq. Thanks for your reply.
So, does the LDAP list then get used for distribution recipients? Is there any way to pass it into the application, for use either in Section Access or other in-app lookups?
Thanks,
DJ
Hi Djorn,
You can use this for section access even.
You can define section access table in QEMC
user;s tab --> section access management --> Section access table --> select tha tavle and add the NT users from your LDAP directory
and can use the same table in your qlikview desktop while while developing.
Hope that helps
