Dear Seif,

Actually, there are no integrated comunications between QVS and QS.

So, if you want to share informations, you need to develop a binary load or reading data from QVD´s create by QVS.

The QS QMC is only available for QS servers.

You do not buy a server (license). You buy tokens. When you bought tokens, you can decide how many servers you install; 1, 2, 7, 352, whatever you consider fitting. That is a big change compared to the QlikView licensing system.

Probably because he/she or his/her customer already has QlikView licenses.

If that is the case, know that Qlik offers the conversion of QlikView licenses into Qlik Sense licenses. You don't have to covert all of them, so if you are considering a transition between the two products you do not have to buy completely new licenses.

An alternative situation is when after a merge one (part of the) company has QlikView and the other has Sense.

@ the OP:

As of Qlik Sense 3.0 we offer the "Unified Hub" which makes it possible to publish QlikView apps to a Qlik Sense server. This still requires to have a server of both though.

In that way, the answer to your question is "sort of yes".

If you are indeed in a conversion situation, know that the script is nearly the same between View and Sense and the QVD's generated by View will perfectly work as a source for Sense.

May you live in interesting times!
