How to open file(excel, xml, etc) having size greater than 50Mb through folder connection

Hi Community,

I'm using Qlik sense 2.1.1 server, In the hub when i go to data load editor to load my data and click on select a file from data connections panel it pops select  file window and at the bottom it is showing like "available space is 50 Mb " so if i want to load data of more than 50 mb how do i do that?
for example if i select 1mb sized excel file it shows available memory 49 Mb, if i select one more file with 1mb it goes down by one and it is showing available memory is 48mb and so on. this way i'm unable to load multiple small excel files or a big file exceeding 50mb. i'm attaching the picture of displayed limit.

Can anyone please  help me out with this, how to load a file greater than 50mb or how to increase the limit shown in select file window

Thanks in advance

Dear Sravan,

That´s a good question. I guess can be configured

mto‌, Could you know something about it? Is there a way to change the file size limit on Qlik Sense Site.

Hello All,

I suspect what you are describing and referencing here is actually "attaching" the file to the app, drag and dropping a file or using "attach file" is technically different than using a Folder connection. Attaching the file uploads it from the client to the server and then attaches it as an actual object to the app - this can be seen in the QMC under the apps and is related objects. This only has a 50MB limit, when attaching.

What you want to do in this situation is have a drive and directory on the server to contain your larger file(s) and use the Folder Connection to reference that drive letter / folder on the server. You can also have the server reference a shared folder on another system and then setup the folder connection using UNC such as //computer/share. (note the engine service credential on the Qlik Sense server would need to have permissions to the shared network folder)

This way larger files can then be used.

Please verify my suspicion and let me know.
