When I preview a report in NPrinting designer, the preview takes 10 minutes to appear. Maybe my point of comparison is wrong, but I can open the QlikView source app, calculate the source table and export it manually to Excel in 1-2 minutes. Any idea why the preview is taking so long, or any idea how I can debug this?

I have been having similar issues, starting with 17.1.0, 17.1.1, and now 17.1.2. My document size is small (11 MB), and I am filtering on a dataset that would yield 30+- rows into either a pixel perfect or an excel report (I've tried both template types). The service account for qlikview server and Nprinting have been different from the first install. The object is a straight table with one dimension expression and one measure expression. I cannot preview (get the time out message), and the tasks finish with errors hours after starting it (sometimes it doesn;t finish at all). I turned on interactive services on the server and can see Qlikview cycle through the filters. But, in the end, no report is ever produced.
I opened a ticket with support, and they say I am the only one with this problem.

I tell them that this is a failure of the pitifully tool.
The only solution I found was to design and then send a test via email.
Finally I tell them that I had to return me to Nprinting 16 because he lacks much to this new version.

There are many improvements to the preview functionality in 17.2. A public beta should be available in advance of the GA release in September.

NPrinting 17.2.2 (currently GA) and 17.2.3 (to be released later this week) have significant performance improvements.
I'd try with the most recent version.
