IE Plug-in for QV 11.2 on Windows 10

Hi Everyone,

We cannot install IE Plug-in for QV 11.2 on Windows 10. Its installer fails with the error "2732: Directory Manager not initialized".

Is it expected behaviour or not?

Does EI Plug-in for QV 12 work on Windows 10?

For me its working fine enough.  Qv11.2 SR12   & wWin 8&  10   also

currently we do not support the IE Plugin on Windows 10 - it can be made to work though.

Chanty 4u - which installer did you use to install on Windows 10? there are two so maybe toe other one would work?

Hi Maxim,

Based on other reviews you might have already got to work by using the right WIN10 version of IE plugin. I think it should say "WIN8&UP" or something.

But one thing i would like to know is why are using using IE plugin? is there any functionality that you are giving to your customers that doesn't exist in AJAX? Reason i am asking is that i believe next future version will be all AJAX only and they might get rid of IE plugin concept from Qlik.

If you want to remove the choice - install QlikView Desktop - you get both Plugin versions installed when you do that - that should work

Hi Christopher,

I would try to install QV Desktop 11.2 from Win8andUp distributive on Windows 10 Home, but the client wants to have IE working on Intel Compu Stick with Atom CPU which seems to be unsupported (the message "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor." during installation confirms that).

Should I disappoint the client or there is still a way to install IE Pluging on Win 10 Home separately?

QVPluginWin8andUp Version 11.20.13206 is working fine on Windows 10 latest Update too.

we have never supported plugin being installed on an Atom CPU - sorry about that, but it has not ever been possible

Where did you find this file for download? I don't see it anywhere in the software downloads section.
