When I detach charts, then save and exit the document, when I reopen the document the charts are not detached.
How can I save a detached chart?
Not possible it seems, if you want chart to not to respond to selection, you can use set analysis, see someone also faced this before -
Detached object does not remain detached; have to re-attach after reload and upon opening document
Not possible. Detached state is a temporary chart condition.
If you want to detach the functionality, try using Set Analysis or Alternate States.
