license issue after server upgrade

Hi all

We had a qlikview server in a machine.. Recently we have upgraded to 11.2 in a different machine.

We use Qlikview for Windows Personal Edition, to edit the report files.

Now, for the files created in the old server, it says "max. number of document recovery exceeded"..

How to resolve this..

I tried to update the license, and got the error "The license key specified in the LEF does not match your license key"

What to do?

Thanks

KRS

Hi,

Make sure you have proper control number.

and make sure you have proper valid contract available with qlik for that version upgrade.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked. I have a valid control number. When applied in the server, in QMC. It works.

But when applied in the desktop tool, which we use to edit the reports, it throws errors

Please help out.

regards

Hi,

License of Qlik View Server will be different than that of Desktop.

For your desktop you need to lease license.

Have a look at below post for License Leasing.

How to lease the license from the server?

You can't use a Server Licence in QV Desktop

If your server licence  has NAMED USER CALS in it, then you should be leasing a licence from the server and NOT using Personal Edition.
