I create a map with Qlik sense. I use color to distinguish different states. I also would like to put some mark (star) on some state to distinguish those states.
I don't think it is possible to add custom markers or design instead of bubbles on Qlik Sense map.
You can use Google Map extension. You have marker options in it. But Google Maps is only free if you developing locally or even in testing but in development you need license for it, where as Qlik Sense map is totally free.
