Hi,
I am developing the dashboard in a development server and accessing it using a remote machine.
I have installed few extension objects, in that few are giving some problem so i need to remove those extension objects.
But the problem is, there is no C drive shown in this server as we just need access to remote machine.
So i am not sure how to remove the extension object from the dev server.
First thing I would check is if there is an alternate extensions folder set up on the machine, if you managed to install it but with no visible C drive then it might be elsewhere? (Think I added a a screenshot on the google maps thread)
If you're sure you know the location can you (vary carefully) do it through DOS? See if you can browse to the folder first and then delete it.
That is assuming you have any access at all to the drive.
How to delete a file, directory, or folder
Or as sys admin to do it, someone must have access to the c drive!
I searched for the folder or the extension .qar in the computer, but i did not get any.
So i guess it is installed in C drive and that is not visible to me.
I think i need to contact the admin.
Hmm it doesn't actually install as a .qar file though so that doesn't surprise me
I would look for: DynProperties.qvpp or possibly Script.js (but this might turn up other things)
Even i did not find any DynProperties.qvpp or Script.js in my computer in the server.
I think contact admin for sure!
Did you managed to resolve this one?
Admin has removed all the folders extensions installed.
But still i am able to see those extensions in QlikView.
It means that the extensions are not getting installed in C: drive.
Then how to find out the path of the extensions?
Hi Uday,
If you're running QlikView Server then you can change the location where extensions are stored. There's a setting called 'Alternate Extensions Path' on the Folders tab under QlikView Server settings in the QMC. It's possible you're extensions are on a file share somewhere.
Thanks
Nick
Hi Nick,
I checked with an admin regarding the paths mentioned in QMC.
He has checked it and saying the extensions folder is blank.
Then where will the extensions installed in the machine?
