QV services are not running

Hi,

I've just performed a new QV 11 Server installation (SR1), but none of my QV services are running. And my system displays "Could not start QV …. Service. Error 1069: the service did not start due to logon failure” message when I am trying to launch them manually.

I am running QV Server 11 under Administrator account that has local Admin and QV Admin privelages. The OS is Windows Server 2003 SP2.

I would appreciate any suggestions how to resolve these issues.

Best regards,

Vladimir

The problem was resolved by creating a new user and re-installaing QVS with new credentials. I've tried to configure the original installation with existing users, but it did not help much (I've made some progress, but the issue was not completely resolved - see above).

Thanks everyone for suggestions!

Regards,

Vladimir

Hi Fernando,

It's been awhile since this problem occurred, but if I remember correctly, I have to do complete un-install and did a full install again to resolve the issue...

Yes, Qlik is very sensitive about user/domain names.... Learned it the hard way...

Good luck!

Hey Guys,

I had the same issues yesterday had a weekly maintenance and I have changed the passwords for my all the 3 servers DEV/QA/PRODUCTION after the restart the services didn't started.

It was throwing error "Service failed to start during logon" (Something Similar not exact wordings).

I have followed the below steps, Qlikview has 4 services change the settings for all 4 services

run-> services.msc --- >  rightclick   ---> logon tab ---->

Under logon Tab you will have the Credentials, Kindly update the new password and restart your server...

Note: if you just try to start the services it will throw error restart the server is mandatory.

I hope this helps and reinstalling is not required and I am reinstalling in real time is a real challenge specially when you have a set time window for maintenance.

Sunil this fixed my issue. Somehow the qvservice account had been removed from the services, all worked fine when it was restored to the service account.
