I am aware that NPrinting 17.2 does not support Office 365, and have read the System Requirements page and am aware of this requirement:
My specific question is this: if a person who designs reports has both Office 2016 (supported) and 365 (not supported), will he be able to successfully design reports? When NPrinting Designer goes to open Office, will it be able to choose 2016 and not 365?
Thanks
Hi Godfrey,
Yes. In the same paragraph you will find: "...Microsoft Office must be installed locally on the same computer as Qlik NPrinting Designer." So, if you can only use Office 356 via your browser, NPrinting will not be able to use it to author Office report templates. You will get the error: "QlikView NPrinting can't find a supported reporting template editor for the file...."
You need to install Office on the machine itself and NPrinting will use the installed version of Office.
EDIT: Only Windows Installer (MSI) versions of MS Office are supported - Qlik-to-run installations do not work.

Good question. I would like to follow that as well and i am hoping to hear from Qlik experts regarding this.
I quess it will be able towork as far as the Office 2016 will be default office document editor. I have not tested it though.
regards
Lech
I think it will work
