QMC tasks are not visible

Hi All,

Recently license on the QlikView server got expired, due to which the tasks in the QMC are not visible.

After which I applied the new license key (taken from other server which was not in used).

While doing this, I was able to successfully apply the license key,but still the issue is not resolved. Its still showing as "Lef is invalid" or "Lef has expired" in the STATUS ->SERVICES tab of QMC.

Please find the attached snapshot.

Can anyone help me in resolving this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Nawaz

can you post the PRODUCTLEVEL line of the LEF?

Try the following:

  1. Back up the Lef.txt file in %ProgramData%\QlikTech and the Settings.ini file in %ProgramData%\QlikTech\QlikViewServer
  2. Stop QVS and QMS services in Windows Services applet
  3. Move or delete the Lef.txt file i%ProgramData%\QlikTech
  4. Edit the Settings.ini file in %ProgramData%\QlikTech\QlikViewServer, removing everything below the ["Authentication]" section
  5. Restart the QVS and QMS services
  6. Re-apply the QlikView Server license in QMC > System > Licenses > QlikView Server > QlikView Server License

Hello Chip,

We have met the same problem.

Our production server license was expired, we have now a test license for temporary usage.

In QMS, it shows also: LEF is invalid after the applying of test license.

We can work on QV in the server, but we cannot manage our user-cals, nor access the access point.

I have tried the list you wrote, but it is still the same problem afterward.

kindly please help if there are other reasons or solutions?

Thanks!

there are differences between support date (product level - date) and test license (time limit date).

After a test license you can't work with the license, with an old support date you can work but you can't update

Hello Martin,

thank you! Does it mean I need a production server license to solve the problem?
