Modify assocition manually

Hi Experts,

I need to associates two tables based on field whcih is different from the recommended association. (Qliksense desktop 3.1)

When I break assocaition no option to set custom association. If I make custom association, recomended association is still there. Also custom association is coming in red colour .

Can some suggest if I am apoting wrong method to define association.

To associate two fields they need to be named the same so you need to rename the one currently associating so they are different and then rename the fields you want to associate so they are the same.

Hi Parul,

You can do manually by using script on data load editor but you need to learn scripting.

If you use scripting then Qlik only knows associative by using the same field/column name.

I am using quik data load option for making dashbaords. Directly from oracle tables . I have not inserted the script yet. Am I taking wrong path

Hi Parul,

as default when you're using quick data load, Qlik always generate script and you can edit manually.

Hi Marco,

I am using QS desktop 3.1 only . While selecting oracle tables > LOad data . below are the screen. However dataload editor has only default scirpt.

Hi Parul,

Check tab on your left and you will see auto-generated section.

Choose that tab and unlock after that you can edit the script but after you unlock the script, you won't be able too see bubble view again.

You can check your data model on data model viewer.
