Hi Geo,
Could you be more especific? Like showing an example of what you want to see in your report...

Hi Cesar

Well basically I have this data with many different fields.

What I need qlikview to do is read that data, as it updates and more rows are added, and then create a dynamic report that will give the top five (5) most common field combinations.

Thanks,

Geo

Hi Geo,

Right... Basically you will need to edit the script of your application to read your data, then each time the script runs it will automatically update your report data (QlikView Associative Database). About your field combinations...
You can select each field to be shown in your Application and check the option "Show Frequency" in the Properties of the list and also set to order by Frequency descending...  this will show the most common values in each field... Is that what you need?

Hi Geo,

I am also very new   But let me know if this helps you. I've attached a TEST qlikview document for and loaded your data using inline data. I'm not sure if this is what you looking for, but if you wanted to count the number of different permutations I would suggest creating a new field by using the '&' sign.

1) I then created a chart and loaded the new field which I called Permutation as the dimension

2) In the expression box I used COUNT to count the number of times that permuation appeared

3) In SORT, I ordered by frequency descending

4) In PRESENTATION by MAX visible, i entered a function where I want to show a percentage of the total count. So if I had 100 permutations, the formula in that box would only show the top 10

Hope that helps and is what you were looking for
