Are unused expressions / variables calculated?

Hi,

I have a bunch of eExpressions (variables) in a Sense app, quite complex ones.

Some are not used anymore on any sheet.

Are the values of these variables re-calculated with each selection?

Are the expressions re-calculated if they appear on a different tab than the one displayed?

So my point if I should delete them to save some CPU usage, memory?

if they have =sign in front of them within variable window they will be recalcauted

so

=SUM(....)

will recalculate

this

SUM(....)

will not.
