Qlik Sense can't open app

Hello,

With Qlik Sense desktop, I can't open an application.

In the hub, I can open all applications except the one I want. When I click on it, I see circles/rounds as when oppening application but it stay at this step....

The size of the application is 4Mo.... and I tried with the versions 3.1.2 and 3.1.0

How can I open it ?

I can open now. Problem solved. It wiped out all of my connections though but apart from that it looks fine

Your solution allowed me to open the corrupted app, however, after I recreated the data connections and try to reload nothing happens, it shows this screen and nothing else. qs.JPG

Has somebody faced a similar situation?

Andre,

Try to load the file in the Debug mode... Or disable some parts of your script and reload it.

QS is not handing corrupted files well, so (as a last option) you can try to copy your script to a newly created application and reload it after that.

I'm able to load the file in debug mode, the reload finishes, I save the app, close Qlik Sense, re-open it, try to do a "normal" load but the same occurs. One day of work down the drain...

Hello all!

According to the release notes for 3.1 SR4, this issue has been addressed. I upgraded as soon as it became available and have not experienced app corruption since. (Could be a nice coincidence, I still backup my apps regularly).

Can you check a log file? Any useful information there?

Also, check your system resources during a "normal" load...

Your system might just being overloaded and is not handling the full process properly.

And as a last step, try to comment pieces of your code out and load the app again...

I plan to wait this time. This bug has caused me all sorts of grief but at least I know how to handle it now.

Hi Vladimir. I've made an update to 3.1 SR4. The same situation occurs. No reload log is created after I reload an empty app and it hangs on the reload, nothing happens.

Hello Andre.

Did you try to open a previously corrupt app in SR4, or did SR4 corrupt it itself?
