We want to set up automated delivery for some chart or straight table data. Who know how to set up in Qlikview? Do we need the publish license? Thanks a lot.

you can email chart of qlikview application in following way .

1) export all required in excel or ppt.

2) you can email that Excel or PPT to all authorized user.

3) To send email you have to configure SMTP servers's details in macro.

4) you can schedule application according to your requirement.

Hi Sunil,

Thanks for your reply. But we want to setup it automatically. The big problem for your answer is how to automatically export to excel? If you have would you please give us any reference manual to check? Thanks.

Hi Stanley,

One approach would be to create automation using macros and VBscript code to distribute the information from a .qvw file but this might be a bit cumbersome. Another approach would be to use Publisher and possibly the PDF generator to distribute reports to users, whih does require additional licensing.

Hi jsn,

We don't have publish license so we will try to create marcos and VBScript code to distribute the information. Do you have sample code which can help us? Thanks.

Try the community search engine and search for 'email macro' and you should find a bunch of posts discussing similar things and general macro development. Do be careful with macros though as they're not part of native QlikView functionality, can cause unexpected behavior in certain cases and might need tweaking when moving to new QlikView versions.
