Moved physical location of server (also new network) and now getting HTTP error

Hello fellow Qlikkers,

I've moved a Qlik Sense server physically from a location to another and the network is different now. After that I am now getting an HTTP 404 Error so I am wondering if there is any config values or similar I need to change somewhere? Can't access Hub or QMC.

HTTP error 404, requested resources are not found

This server does NOT have IIS Installed.

From the error seems you simply do not reach any more Qlik Sense server on the new network. I should make these test in order to find where the problem is:

  1) From the client ping the server. You should expect a response from Server. If not need to work with the network admin

  2) Check if the ports 443, 80, 4244 and 4248 are opened.

When I am doing this I am on the actual server and not trying to reach it from outside. Nothing new has been installed so this is why I am so confused.

Try to use localhost or 127.0.0.1 from the local server, instead of the server name. If it works, I expect some problem with the DNS

I already tested with localhost and it is the same issue.

I am wondering it has to do with the server now having a new IP or something. I think there are some values that has to be changed somewhere, I just don't know where as I haven't done this before or found any other threads on it / documentation.

In Event Viewer I am finding this error:

Event Error QlikSense.JPG

Thanks for responding btw Vincenzo. I appreciate it.

You should have problem changing the hostname (FQDN or not depends on the installation you've mae). Does it changed?

The hostname is the same, but I am starting to suspect that what has happened is that when they restarted the server, something else is now using the ports. I asked them to clarify, but this is what I think it is. Going to troubleshoot some more later today.

Ali- Actually you are facing this problem just because of you have changed your domain network thus your server is not able to find out the actual IP on which server is configured.

Ok,

I'm not that good on server infrastructure etc. but is it something I then change in Qlik Sense somewhere?

You can add the new adress to the AccessPoint in the Host file locked in %WinDir%\system32\drivers\etc

Edit the Host file and add on the end of the file:

IP adress of access point     <tab>   friendly adress

for example:

27.0.0.1      <tab>   www.accesspoint.com

Ali- I'm not sure it will work or not, pls try once and confirm.
