Keeping digits entered as text in text format

Hi Everyone,

Need your expert advice on keeping digits entered as text as text. Am using text() with preceding load but in the UI its still getting converted. I need a value entered as 50 to be maintained as 50 while another one entered as 0050 be kept as 0050.

I remember to have read somewhere in the QlikView Reference Manual that QlikView stores the values as entered.

Please see if the attached application helps you display what you want.

thanks for the example...but its creating two separate columns. Is it possible to 'mask' the values somehow so that I could keep both in one column.

In your original post, you had stated that you used text() function in preceding load and it was not working.

But text() in preceding load works for me as in the attachment.
