Hi all,
Kindly, I need help in the following:
In Qlik sense, I have a stream named "OPS" with 2 Apps published to that stream say "TAT" and "Automation".
Currently, and If a user has access to only "TAT" app, whenever he tries to open "OPS" stream he will see the 2 apps but with no access to "Automation" app. Is there any way to only see TAT app without seeing Automation app?
Thank you in advance.
Kindly I need help on the above.
Hi Sarah,

Thank you Beck for your prompt reply.
Let me clarify further my question:
Assume that we have "Performance Stream" with 2 Apps: Loss Ratio and Performance Report.
Also, assume that Sarah has access to only the Loss ratio dashboard inside the performance stream,
What I am currently getting is the following:
Sarah is able to see both loss ratio and performance but can only open loss ratio due to the section access security I have put in my script.
What I want is the following:
Sarah will only see loss ratio dashboard.
I hope this is clearer now.
Thank you in advance.
Hello Sarah,
You may consider creating security rule with hard coded value for the app you want to restrict access to.
Hi Sarah, you can create a security rules using custom properties and that way you can restrict the apps as you wish. Have a look to the below article that might help you:
Hope it helps,
Andrés
Can you show us what are the exact steps to achieve this...
Thanks,
Hi Sarah,
i understand what you mean, but as i know, such security structure that you want is not possible, i know to implement access section to reduce the access regarding of content of your apps.
as i know you can only restrict the users to see certain inforamtion whithin your qlik-documents
Beck
Hi Anders,
do you have an example like a qlik-file? it does sound interesting, i would like to know how does look this case.
Thanks a lot
Beck
If needed, example like below can be used to create new security rule in QMC.
Ex: ((user.@customproperty=resource.@user.@customproperty=resource.@custompropertycustomproperty and (resource.resourcetype="Apps" or resource.resourcetype="User" ) or resource.resourcetype="CustomPropertyDefinition" ) and (user.id="name of user")).
Conditions like these can be created in the rule editor or be copied directly into the rule display box. You may check the correctness of rule using audit/preview button.
