Getfield selections

Hi,

I need to get the selected values on field.

I know that, we can use "Gtefieldselections(Fieldname)"  function. But if we do search on the field(or list box) ans selecting the values, then the fuction returning only the searching value. For example, ABC is a field name. If we are searching the value "*rcs*" on "ABC" field, then the "Getfieldselections" fuction only displaying the value *rcs*. But i want to display the full name like "Rcs Retail".

Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

I am just curious, can we include some other text in the same text box?.

For example, when we show the values on text box, need to include reporting period also.

Eg: "Reporting for Jan 2011 (Build,implementation)"  .This "Jan 2011" is one of the variable for dynamic changes.

Is it possible on the same text box?

    From where do you get this Reporting for Jan 2011.

    Meaning Jan 2011 coming from variable/Field.

Hi,

That is coming from the variable.Basically the user will give period in input box as "YYYYMM" format.
