QMC 12.1 task reload error

Hi guys,

Recently i am hitting some task reload issue in QMC.

As per below is the error it capture in the QVW log. The error shows failed to connect to my MYSQL database.

2017-05-15 07:00:33 0037 ODBC CONNECT32 TO *** (XUserId *** ***, XPassword *** ***)

2017-05-15 07:00:33      Error: Unknown GenericConnect error

2017-05-15 07:00:33      Unknown GenericConnect error

2017-05-15 07:00:33      Execution Failed

This issue started after i upgraded my QV server from 11.2 to 12.1.

Currently we are using 12.1 SR6.

I have enable server logging at MYSQL but it did not capture any error on this.

Any idea what is this error message about? It does not have error code that i can search for.

Appreciate any kind feedback on this.

After upgraded the version, did you established the connection again instead of using old one...?

Yes. I did established the connection again.

I thought that was the root cause too, but unfortunately the issue still persists.

Hi Ananda,

We are using MySQL ODBC 5.1 connector to connect into our MYSQL.

I have recently upgraded to MYSQL ODBC 5.3 but it still hit the same issue.

This issue does not happen every time, it happened intermittently which is weird for us.

I am using MYSQL Community Server 5.6.34.

Maybe you should ask Qlik Support for help. The Qlik ODBC Connector package requires the paying MySQL edition (Enterprise?) which is properly supported. But since it worked with QV11.20, it shouldn't cause any proplems with QV12.

I have the same problem.

But here we use Oracle 11g and QlikView 12.10 SR7 (12.10.20500.0)...

No solution for now...
