Hi everyone,
I have set up a hidden access script, see it below:
Section Access;
LOAD ACCESS,
NTNAME,
USER,
CC_Description
FROM
[\\auqldrv00fil1bi\work\qlikview\Corporate Accounting\SG&A Report\MasterData.xlsx]
(ooxml, embedded labels, table is Access);
Section Application;
and I have attached the masterdata spread sheet where is looking the data for the security.
I would like to have it user only seeing your department and only some users to see everything.
however it is not working and everyone can see everything. The way I am filtering it is based on the CC_description which is in my data scrip as a group.
maybe that is the reason? does anyone has any light?
Thanks so much
Have you checked the relatives checkbox in order to "enable" the section access restriction ?
Are the CC_description values in your DD_GL table in Section Application all in upper case? If not, create a copy of that field with the UPPER() function, call it CC_DESCRIPTION_SA and rename the corresponding Section Access field to CC_DESCRIPTION_SA
In section Access, both the field names and their values are silently converted to upper case. That's a side effect of Section Access...
Also, IIRC enabling Data reduction and Strict exclusion but without having a proper link field means NO REDUCTION AT ALL... Nice huh?
