How to create 4 PowerPoint reports for 4 regions using a Region field?

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how to produce 4 PowerPoints reports (i.e. 4 pptx files) based on 4 region values in the Region field?

I already have this field in my QlikView application.

1. Create 4 filters in NPrinting for each of the regions (e.g. Filter1 = Region1).

2. Create 4 users in NPrinting, and for each one, assign the appropriate filter from step 1.

3. Create a PPTX template and add that to a publish task in NPrinting

4. Add the 4 users you created earlier to the publish task.

5. Run the task

Ultimately these 4 files will be sent to 5 users (all of them receviing the 4 files).

What would be the process to do this?

As of now, there isn't an easy way to do this without setting up multiple publish tasks (one report in each task) and then applying the filters to the tasks instead of the users. They would have to get 4 separate emails with each one containing a single report.

This will become much easier when we re-introduce the concept of cycling back into the product (on the roadmap for 2nd half of 2017).

Ah, in that case it will be possible and fairly straightforward.

Here is how to create a cycle on a report, clearly you'll want to use the Region field from your data: Cycling Reports on Multiple Fields

Then you can import users into NPrinting and assign filters to them so that they will see the reports from the proper regions: How to Create and Import Recipients with Filters and Distribution Groups
